What will visitors learn from your presentation?
They will understand how to choose the right keywords both for PPC and organic search needs and the pitfalls to avoid when doing so.
What new SEO/PPC software is on the horizon that we should be watching out for?
People working in search should regularly review the tools they use and re-test services and software they have tested in the past. Most tools improve very frequently to follow changes in SEO strategies.
With the recession many organizations are veering away from PPC and focusing all their efforts and money on natural search marketing, what are your thoughts on this?
The recession means we cannot afford anymore to do marketing randomly.
Data and statistics are more necessary than ever. Based on this, PPC campaigns can still be highly profitable, provided they are done in a well thought way.
When optimizing a website to rank better organically, keywords should be the core of the work. It is impossible to correctly optimize a website without having researched and identified the right keywords.
People should not forget that PPC and organic search complement each other.
How has your experience as a developer helped in your SEO and PPC strategies?
It has helped me understand the limitations of the technologies used by the engines, which in turn helped me use strategies that would be relevant with those technical limitations.
What does your daily media diet consist of?
I subscribe to about 400 RSS feeds and scan through them everyday. I then read the relevant articles. This gives me a global view of the evolution of the search and marketing world.
Who in the search world never fails to inspire you?
Anyone who is able to question themselves and who is not afraid of trying new methods even if they are the opposite of what they’ve been doing in the past.
