I have now completed ten weeks as the Sales and Marketing Coordinator intern at SiteVisibility, and am pleased to say that they have offered me the permanent, full time position. It is a very exciting time at SiteVisibility as they are looking to the future and growing the company. Needless to say I accepted the job.

Alex 225x300 I would like to introduce you to SiteVisibility’s newly appointed Sales Coordinator ... ME!

The Sussex Internship Programme has been a brilliant experience and far exceeded my expectations. I had hoped to get some experience using the Maximiser CRM system and learn a few marketing techniques, which I have, but it has been so much more.

Jason encouraged me to undertake different tasks in order to test my strengths and perseverance, leading me to develop new skills very quickly. I was successful in project managing SiteVisibility’s attendance at the DPA Annual Conference and will be involved in doing so for some bigger events next year. I have assessed and added to the sales collateral having produced three case studies. I have also had a lot of input into the company, creating a new layout for the Events page on the SiteVisibility website, formalising company processes, updating the SiteVisibility profile on external websites and liaising with potential clients, to name but a few of my responsibilities.

The best thing about the scheme is the ability to ‘test drive’ a job, SiteVisibility got to see if I fit into their team and I got to see if the position was a suitable career path. Wired Sussex run the scheme and the support from their end for the interns is brilliant. The interview process is also good practice and the Sussex Internship Programme ran two days of training workshops for all the interns to help us with our placements.

If anyone is looking to get into the digital sector then I 100% recommend the Sussex Internship Programme as a means of determining the most suitable job for you and getting that all important industry experience.
