Brighton Childrens’ Charity Awarded £25k Digital Marketing Fund
SiteVisibility’s ‘Community Digital Marketing Fund’ given to extratime
We are delighted to announce our £25k ‘Community Digital Marketing Fund’ has been awarded to Brighton-based child care charity, extratime. The fund, which was available to all charities and not-for-profit organisations across Sussex, will enable extratime to improve its online reputation and profile, increase online donations and help the charity’s promotional efforts become more effective and self-sustaining into the future. We also hope to create employment opportunities for the young people who extratime work with.
More than 25 charities and not-for-profit organisations submitted applications for the Fund via our Facebook page telling the company about their work in the local community and what they will achieve with extra digital marketing guidance and advice. Following a review of all applicants to identify which has the potential to achieve the biggest impact with £25k worth of digital marketing investment, extratime was selected as the stand-out charity.
Extratime was founded by Becky Jenner and Marian Tipler, both parents of children with complex needs. Frustrated at the lack of out-of-school care for their own children, Becky and Marian spent two years planning and working voluntarily to develop an inclusive after school club for special needs and mainstream children aged 5 – 16. Their approach has been highly professional and our whole team is committed to making their own individual contributions as part of this 12 months of campaign with extratime.
We would like to thank all charities and not-for-profit organisations for taking the time to enter and we wish them all the very best as they look to fulfill their objectives for 2013. One of the needs most frequently highlighted by charities was social media training and so during 2013 we will be providing a free training session for all applicants which will hopefully help them improve their online communication skills and effectiveness.
