Brighton is a hotspot of SEO talent, you only need to look at the pages of the WiredSussex directory to appreciate that. But unlike our cousins up in London it’s rare we get to sit down together, talk a little shop, gossip about other companies and generally have a good chinwag.

Awhile ago for the podcast we interviewed Avinash Kaushik the world renowned Google Analytics authority about measuring social media and hacking Google Analytics.
I know for some people the thought of listening to a full podcast can be a little scary, so I’ve taken the interview and uploaded it with some stills to blip.tv

Recently we’ve been trailing the attribute to deal with some of the common problems which occur when developing two different websites, each targeting variations of the English language.
In the following example we’ll talk about a site currently in the UK launching an American equivalent, which was the exact problem our client had. Read on
If you’ve never heard of the Million Dollar Homepage (it’s about five years ago – half a century in internet years) it was a brilliant idea where a chap sold each one of the one million pixels on his site at one dollar each. The plan being once he had sold them all he’d be a millionaire.

We were hugely fortunate to interview Seth Godin for our podcast this month. We’re huge fans of his work here at SiteVisibility so it was a bit of a dream come true. He’s written some of the most important and influential business and marketing books of the last ten to fifteen years, but you don’t have to take our word for it.
One of the subjects we touched on in the interview was tools. In the book, The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich, Tim advocates radical and comprehensive testing to every element of your marketing. It something we all know we should do, but sometimes it’s difficult to find the time or the right tool to help us carry out the testing.
With that in mind I thought I should compile some of the tool’s Tim’s recommended over the last couple of years, and help explain how you can start testing your marketing to get the best possible performance.
