The SiteVibility cake-off actually happened a few weeks ago but I’m just getting around to posting the pictures and results. The rules were simple, one contestant, one cake, no cream or ice cream. We scored each cake against 3 criteria- Texture, flavour & looks.
Not as exciting as it sounds I’m afraid! We were checking some browser stats on our visitors and noticed a big spike in traffic using a browser called ‘Yeti 1.0′ over the past fortnight.

Its not actually a browser its the crawler for the Korean search portal naver.com. Not sure why they need to send us 50-100 fake referrers a day to index our site.
Yesterday we said goodbye to one of the most trusted and valuable members of the SEO team. Elvis the office Plecostomus (sucker fish).
Elvis has moved onto bigger and better things- a bigger tank that is since he grew out of the office aquarium. We all wish him the best of luck in his new home.

In June, the AI Digital Allstar Xl met the mighty ROCC computers cricket team for game 3 of the now infamous ‘Bashes’ cricket series. Following 2 games last year, in which AI Digital managed to snatch victory in the last over of each match, ROCC were determined to get their own back in the series.

Celebrating with a human pyramid – i’m the one in the straw hat.
The game took place at the picturesque ground of Braypool, and above the roar of the evening traffic much banter was exchanged between the two team captains Tim Harrington of AI Digital and Alan Gould of ROCC. There’s only one thing I love more than SEO Interviews and that’s group interviews. So suddenly a bright idea flashed into my head, why not arrange a group interview here on our blog.
Not quite a complete census but it’s still pretty big -

So I went out and contacted eight of the UK’s most respected SEO bloggers and asked them a couple of questions. And out of total vanity I included myself as well. Read on
We received an email today from Google asking for feedback on one of our bigger clients. Seeing how reliant we are on Google’s PPC interface and tools we were happy to oblige. What did make us laugh was the unappealing incentive they were using to get people to share their opinion.
On offer was this charming gym bag…

But before you all get in touch asking for how you can fill in the survey, we’ve been sworn to secrecy. (Though if you ask nicely we might let you have ours.)
It got us thinking though despite being named one of the UK’s top brands their gifts now aren’t as nice as the glory days
I’m about the get married, and as is time honoured tradition the groom to be has to go out and do man-ly activities.
In my case we went to GoApe where the SV team rode some ziplines, threw ourselves out of tree and generally got up to plenty of monkey business.

The Great Kelvinio – Unflappable tight rope walker

Damon – you go on my first whistle

Eloi the flying camera man
It was a brilliant day all round even if Paul hustled me at poker that evening!
Now I’m just looking for an excuse to go up to Aberfoyle and try their more extreme course with the worlds longest Zipline.
Here is beautifully compiled list of Google-related terms that have appeared since the wide-spred of the search giant. If you have any more terms, please let me know in the comments and I ll add them to the post. However, I have decided not to include Google products as that would make the list too long and less fun.. there’s a special favourite of mine at the end !
