PageOne, a leader in one and two-way mobile communications, delivers specialist business messaging systems. PageOne was one of the first organisations to pioneer the use of SMS messaging as part of a wider applications suite of services, and as such, they have a wide audience who need to be reached in different ways.

The Brief:
Appointed in 2008, SiteVisibility was tasked with increasing the rankings and driving traffic and conversions through the PageOne website via initially an SEO campaign which was supplemented by additional Social Media campaigning.

The Strategy:
SiteVisibility has focused on improving rankings for the best converting and traffic generating keywords, by adopting the following SEO tactics:

  • Targeted linkbuilding
  • Blogger outreach
  • Onsite content creation
  • Press release syndication
  • Creation and optimisation of LinkedIn and Twitter accounts

The Results:
If we compare 2008 to 2012, the SEO campaign has delivered a:

  • 37% increase in traffic
  • 38% reduction in the bounce rate
  • 13% increase in time spent on the site

We’ve also seen progress with the number of targeted keywords in the top ten (the first page of the search engines):

  • 15 target keywords ranking top 10 in 2010
  • 21 were top 10 in 2011
  • 24 are top 10 in Q1 of 2012

For social media:

  • On-site engagement is 74% higher from LinkedIn referral traffic than site average
  • 17% of LinkedIn referral traffic results in more than 5 page views
  • 31% of Twitter traffic views more than 10 pages
