SiteVisibility Supports Sussex Downs College at Enterprise Week
SiteVisibility is pleased to announce that for a second year, we will be participating in Enterprise Week at Sussex Downs College. SiteVisibility, a leading SEO Agency, has a strong history of supporting local charities and non-profit organisations, and when the opportunity to share their skills with the next generation of up and coming search marketers, the opportunity was not one that could be missed.
In the world of social media there are still no cut and dried right or wrongs. However, we pride ourselves on having successfully managed a number of creative social media campaigns for our clients and wanted to impart some of this knowledge on the next generation of business professionals. In turn we wanted to learn from the true social media evangelists themselves – the students.
With social media rapidly changing the face of marketing and PR SiteVisibility, an integrated search and social media agency, thought it would be valuable for the Sussex Downs College students to have a go at applying their well-honed social media skills to promoting a cause via social media channels.
Each team will have just one lesson to set up either a Facebook or Twitter account for a cause and will be judged on their ability to use social media for promoting a message to a specific audience over a 24 hour period. The brief has been set intentionally loose to see what they come up with, but the focus will be on thinking about who their particular audience is, where they are online, the best way to approach them and considering why they would want to like or follow your page.
Caroline Austen, who coordinates Business courses in Lewes said: “Inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs is critical and initiatives like Enterprise Week play an important role. Our event unites local businesses and students in a real-life entrepreneurial challenge and provides an extremely valuable learning experience.”
Chief Executive of SiteVisibility, Jason Woodford, said “we take training, internships and work placements very seriously at SiteVisibility as we know that training and experience are crucial to career and company development and success. We’re keen to do all that we can do to help share our knowledge and help these students gain valuable insight into possible future careers.”
The whole SiteVisibility team is delighted to be involved in this great cause for a second year and can’t wait to see the results!
