Introducing Mila, our Marketing Coordinator

Mila started working at SiteVisibility in February after finishing an M.A. in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Sussex. Starting out as an Intern helping our Creative Director Kelvin with the Internet Marketing Podcast and BrightonSEO conference, she has stayed on and is now our Marketing Coordinator.

“I’m the one who will be contacting you about upcoming events, and making sure you’ve got all the details about any shows or speaking opportunities we think you might be interested in. I’m also the one who’ll be sending out surveys, and I’m looking forward to meeting you all at our upcoming client events!

“I’m the Butterfly because I buzz around helping to organise events like our upcoming Search Innovation Seminar and the Online Marketing Show. Also, because I flew over all the way from Canada.“

Integrated Search Innovation

Our Creative Director Kelvin Newman is continuing to share his search marketing expertise with the world, presenting talks at both the Search Marketing Expo (SMX) in London and at SASCON in Manchester. At SMX he showed marketers how to “break out of the linkbuilding echo chamber” and also talked about the changes to SEO practises as a result of new ASA regulations. At the State of Search Conference he presented a rather different talk about beards and how to efficiently and effectively build links.

We’re currently working on further developing and expanding our multilingual service, and are pleased to confirm that Hotels.com have awarded us their multi-lingual campaign. Stay tuned for more details about our multilingual services.

SiteVisibility News

It’s been another busy month here in the Think Tank. We are very pleased to welcome Cactus Language to the SiteVisibility family. We’ll be working on the social media campaign for the language training company, and we’re looking forward to creatively engaging their online audiences and achieving great results.

We’re really happy to be working on an SEO campaign for Scottish Television. Two of our Digital Marketing Managers, Gareth and Dan, spent a few days in Scotland with STV in order to understand their business better.

We’re working hard in the ‘Think Tank’ to bring you a new SEO Forecasting service. We’ll be able to talk more about this at the Search Innovation client event, and we’ll definitely be explaining it further in upcoming meetings and events. We’re quite excited about this new service!

Currently we have two work placements in the office. Sean Nichols has been working with us recently to learn more about search marketing, and Satomi Hisamoto is working closely with Digital Marketing Manager Graeme on all things Analytical.

Sharing Knowledge

Kelvin is speaking as part of a panel presentation at the a4u Marketing Conference in Munich this week, about creating long-term search marketing strategies and building a link profile which looks natural.

On the 18th of July the Internet Marketing Podcast will be five years old. We’ve got something exciting planned, so keep listening to the podcast and check the website for updates!

This Friday is our Team Building and Training Day, where we’ll be learning about the advanced features of Analytics. Afterwards we have challenged some local digital agencies to compete in our SEO Inter-Agency Rounders Tournament at Preston Park. It should be a fiercely competitive event as well as lashings of fun.

We have a Search Innovation Seminar coming up on the 17th of June, where we hope to share our knowledge and get to know our clients even better. There are talks from members of the team about a variety of topics including SEO Forecasting, Conversion Optimisation and PPC as well as a presentation by Speed Communications about the convergence of public relations and search marketing. After all this we will be heading to the Aegon Tennis Championship in Eastbourne. If you couldn’t make it this time then perhaps you might consider participating in our Webinar in mid-July where we’ll be sharing our insights on SEO Forecasting, there will be more info on that in the next newsletter. Until then, bye!
