Job Description:

This is a maternity cover role starting from July 2021 through to May 2022 with a view to a permanent role.

Our Head of Creative is, unsurprisingly, responsible for fostering creativity in the agency. You will be responsible for managing, developing and inspiring our team of digital marketing specialists and leading the creation of marketing strategies for our clients. Our awesome specialists cover a wide range of marketing disciplines including SEO, Content, PR, Paid Media, Social Media and anything else they put their minds to…which is a lot!

We need someone with a creative background to build on our recent success in this area. Long-term we’re thinking Cannes Corporate! You will continue to develop our creative offering in video, film and audio using your skills, through helping to upskill our team and via our production partners.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the agency delivers best in class creative outputs
  • Championing the art of storytelling, from presentations and pitch decks to delivery of work and internal meetings
  • Encourage creative conversations internally and externally
  • Proactively provide creative solutions for clients and inspire others to do the same
  • Working with our client services team, you’ll spot and ideate against rising social and behavioural trends and turn these into campaigns and opportunities for our clients
  • Build and nurture collaborative relationships across the agency
  • Coach, drive and inspire a creative team to deliver best in class creative campaigns
  • Nurture a diverse team and support and champion their development
  • Deliver creative assets that will drive and support the commercial ambitions of the agency
  • Devise and implement marketing strategies
  • Drive organic search visibility through creation of optimised content for clients and for the agency
  • Work with the specialist team, Marketing Manager and Managing Director to elevate the business through our marketing activities
  • In charge of quality control for all creative output ensuring it matches our client’s expectations
  • Owning the relationships with production teams and external suppliers
  • Developing our products and services – helping to create new revenue streams for our business

Essential Skills:

  • 6+ years of proven experience creating content
  • Ability to think critically and laterally about requirements and problems
  • Experience and confidence working with digital platforms and tools
  • Experience in leading and managing a growing creative team
  • Highly-organised with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrable experience in creating ideas worth talking about
  • A positive, solutions-focused and collaborative mindset and the ability to partner effectively at different levels and with different disciplines
  • An ability to inspire, influence and motivate others
  • An ability to read the room and dial-up and down where necessary
  • Experience with video production either hands on or managing a project
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty, get stuck-in and lead by example – confidence YES, egos NO
  • Strong problem solving skills: you use data to build and constantly improve your marketing strategy and can take data-driven decisions
  • Experience in building scalable products and processes
  • You have an excellent understanding of strategy theory knowing the difference between ‘strategy’ and ‘tactics’
  • Confident face-to-face communicator
  • A firm grasp of how all marketing channels work and can be used in conjunction with one another
